What makes this different from my casual sip & paint classes?
This isn't a quick paint night - it's a 4 hour intensive where we slow down and go deep, painting on an 8×11 sheet of Arches Watercolor paper.
You'll learn techniques that take real time to practice and master, with personalized feedback and hands-on troubleshooting. The kind of instruction I can't fit into my 2-hour class.
Plus, you have the add-on option to get the complete professionally edited workshop video tutorial to reinforce everything you learned.
What we will learn:
How to draw in two-point perspective
How to make suggestions using pen and ink line drawings (without drawing every detail)
Painting only what’s necessary
Painting layers to create texture and depth
Along with wet-on-wet, lifting out pigment, layering pigment, splattering, how to create texture, and much more in a relaxed, supportive environment.
The first half of the class will be about perspective and creating the ink drawing. In the second half of the class, we will paint the subject.
VIDEO OPTION
With your workshop purchase, you’ll have the option to add a professionally edited video tutorial that will walk you through each step of the painting we do in the workshop. Once you have access to the video (after the workshop is complete), you can stream/download the video and watch it over and over again at your leisure.

There is no video included with this base option. However, you will have the opportunity to add the video onto the class purchase for a discount or purchase the video after the class for full price.

Workshop FAQ

All materials will be provided. We will use Arches watercolor paper. Cotman watercolor paint will be provided, and in order to keep the workshop consistent, it is not recommended that participants bring any materials other than their own brushes if they wish. Brushes will be provided in an assortment of sizes, so you are not expected to bring any materials.

Refunds for the in-person workshop will only be provided if someone from the waitlist books your spot. If refunded, you'll receive your payment minus a $25 processing fee and minus the value of any digital content included in your package. No refunds for video-only purchases. No refunds for cancellations made within 7 days of the workshop date.

There will be a short snack/stretch break around noon. Snacks and beverages will not be provided.

There is free parking on site. It is suggested that participants arrive 15 minutes early to get settled in.

Participants will not be filmed or have audio captured during the workshop. Video will be professionally edited and trimmed down to remove empty space. Video will not be shared on YouTube, nor will it be available to the public without purchase.
